Andrew is a Trainee Solicitor within our Dispute Resolution Department.
After a 14-year career working within the NHS, Andrew decided a change was in order and completed his law degree while working full time. Andrew joined Parfitt Cresswell in November 2022 and is working towards qualifying as a solicitor via the Solicitors Qualification Examinations (SQE) pathway.
Andrew works closely with Simon Steele-Williams our Head of Dispute Resolution. He is quickly gaining experience in various types of litigation, including, Landlord and Tenant disputes, Debt Actions, Contested Probates, and Boundary Disputes.
Under Simon’s guidance Andrew is developing the ability to navigate through complex problems to achieve the desired outcome and is increasingly adept at explaining the law in simple terms which is something clients always appreciate.
Outside of work, Andrew can be found enjoying the outdoors, whether that’s hiking through rugged mountain trails, or cycling over the high peaks. Aside from this, he has a 1-year old son who keeps him nice and busy.
As the Executor of my later father's estate I had to balance dealing with family members and the legal elements
of achieving probate and then distribution. I was so glad I had Zoe to help me through this process, to take on all the heavy lifting when required, and to listen to what my needs were, respond appropriately as well as providing clear and balanced legal advice. The process was not only effective, and supportive of a complex case, but completely collaborative. My experience was one of teamwork, working together for the best outcome, which was how I had hoped we would be able to make this work out. The firm is professional and friendly, from receptionists through to all the legal professionals I had the pleasure of working with. With Zoe having an open mind, with a clear eye on keeping on track and being robust and rigorous legally, we were able to achieve a result for the beneficiaries which exceeded our expectations. I was also delighted at how the firm was so honest and clear about costs - and how they were diligent and respectful of keeping the costs proportionate. I don't think we could have hoped for a better outcome, and the result is that we have been able to pass on a substantial legacy to the children and grandchildren, which would have been exactly what my late father would have wished for, and would probably have been more than he could have hoped. I can't thank the team enough for being legal adviser, support, counsellor and friend to me during this extremely difficult and heartbreaking time. I cannot recommend highly enough.
Andrew Whittingham helped me in every way he could with my query. I would most certainly recommend him to anyone
who needs legal advice in plain English without all the jargon. Very helpful and knowledgeable.
Andrew was very thorough and knowledgeable. He was very honest with all scenarios and his proactive approach helped me through
a tough time. Truly grateful!
We found Andrew Whittingham very empathetic and personable to our issue. He gave us good advice and we found him
to be a good listener. Thankfully we had a successful outcome to our tenant issue without further legal intervention required.
Andrew was incredible at listening to my (long-running) situation and finding a resolution. He was very speedy at responding to
my emails, very professional but also compassionate and understanding too. I can't thank Andrew enough for his support on this matter and while I hope I won't need solicitors in the near future again, I'd have no hesitation instructing him again / recommending him to others! Thank you Andrew!
Andrew impressed with his calm, analytical approach, able to quickly understand the complexities of our situation and to provide clear,
helpful advice.
I feel very fortunate to have found Mr Whittingham to take care of my case. He has been very professional
and at the same time very caring and understanding to my situation. Mr Whittingham's advice has been invaluable in helping navigate through my situation. I will definitely recommend him to friends and family should they need a lawyer in the future.
Andrew Whittingham was quick to understood the nature and dynamics of our position. He was also very good at working
with me to establish the best course of action and was open to suggestions but clear with advice when we needed clarity.
